Since 2008, ALPENRIND GMBH - under the brand of ALPENRIND-bayern - has also been responsible for marketing the beef of the producer co-operatives Traunstein and Miesbach, who manage the Traunstein slaughterhouse together. The company was founded in 1965 and was leased from the town of Traunstein by the producer co-operatives Traunstein and Miesbach in 2004. EUR 2.5 million has been invested in new slaughter lines, ensuring that the company`s technology is state-of-the-art. This significant investment has secured the Traunstein slaughterhouse`s future in the region.

The Traunstein slaughterhouse has been awarded several certifications, including EFSIS and QS. In 2009, the company achieved a turnover of around EUR 43 million.

Our high-quality meat is processed in Salzburg. For the operations in Traunstein, the collaboration with Salzburg offers access to international markets and a secure source of revenue.
